Waknuk Times

The Mutants

On June 25^th, 3014 two girls, Sally and Katherine, from the Waknuk area in Labrador have just been captured. They are believed to have telepathic powers. We believe that there may be more out there with the same powers that they have and they are going to come together to create a rebellion. They have been brought into questioning and according to them their telepathic powers can only travel five miles, if any further it does not work. One has confessed to knowing three others, David, Rosalind, and Petra, with telepathic powers and some officers have been sent out to capture them. If what these girls say about their powers are right then it is not possible for them to warn the others about the danger they are about to face. We cannot have our country under threat and these telepathic people are a great threat. Not only do they look just like us but they were sent by the devil to fool us and destroy us. Together as a country we must work together to stop them. There will be signs posted of their faces and the awards given on every post.

 The Escape

On June 27^th, 3014 David, Rosalind, and Petra the three telepaths have managed to escape. They must have known what was coming their way. Before we reached their house they have already fled for safety. We have heard from many sources that they have gone southeast. A whole search party is heading in that direction to capture them. They have brought with them great horses, big enough to be seen as mutants. These great horses are bound to take them a great distance in a shorter amount of time but the difficult part would be covering their tracks. This would be an advantage for us. Once we find their tracks we will easily track them down and capture them. Once they are captured we will learn more of what they can do and who they are. We will know all about their abilities and powers.

The Collision

 Yesterday on June 28^th, 3014 the search group has just ran into the Fringes, the Mutants. The search party has temporarily stopped their search to fight the Fringe people but they are losing many of their men. We believe that the Fringe people are keeping the three telepaths captive. We cannot have them be ahead of us. The Fringe people are deviations to our society; just like the telepaths they were sent by the devil to fool us. We have been lucky that the Fringes have obvious deviations, we never thought that the devil would be smart enough to create an almost perfect human.

Even untill today, there are no news about the chrysalids David, Rosalind and Petra. We shall find those telepaths and punish them. They shall not live as deviants. They are formed like a human but that is the outside. Being formed like a human on the outside does not mean they are human! Even if we can not find them right now, we will sooner or later. We are sure that they were at the Fringes place held captive. We will not let them escape.  They've fooled us for too long, too long!! Deviants shall not live. They are not human,  so pay attention everyone! If you see them or anyone suspicious, please hurry and inform us so we can punish these deviations who deserve to die!

First day of elementary school

I stepped in to the classroom
with an awkward feeling 

made friends with 2 girls

I hated barbie dolls
They loved barbie dolls
I tried playing with them
I took the barbie doll from her

she cried
I threw the doll in the garbage
I got in trouble 

A terrible start in elementary school.

'' All that glitters is not gold''

Treasure glitters and shines
but it is not gold
It is dead

Pirates travel across the sea
they look for the treasure
they seek for the gold

Some are success
Some are failures

What leads them to success are their bonds
What leads them to failure are their selfishness

Friendship does not glitter nor shine
but it is gold
It is alive

My earliest memory

   My earliest memory was experiencing a bike crash at the age of 6. I remember it happened 9 years ago in the summer in the afternoon. It wasn't meant to be a memorable moment that I would call " nice". To me, it was a funny and cool moment. I am actually thankful that it happened or else I wouldn't be sure of what to write right now for this English essay. This is what basically happened that day.
    It was one warm and sunny afternoon. My brother, sister and I were riding out bikes in the yard. We were about to start a race with our bikes and see who was the fastest. I was super excited and happy. I had 100% confidence that i would win the race and be cool. I was looking forward to the part where i would win and my brother would shout out '' GOOD JOB VIV!!! YOUR BETTER THAN ME !!'' and also where he would go running to  my mom and say'' Mom!!! Viv  beat me in our race!!!''. I was also hoping my sister whos a minute older than me would be admiring my biking skills and saying '' Cool viv!! i want to win toooo!!''. So there we were, at the starting line. My sister and I was at the starting line but starting a bit in front of my brother since he was older. The race was about to begin.
     My brother yelled ''3! 2! 1!''. We all started to bike in our fastest speed. My heart was thumping. I rode very very fast but was still slower than my brother. My sister was behind me by a bit. I was telling myself i had to be cool and get number one. I stepped harder on the pedals on the bike to ride faster. Sadly, i still couldnt catch up to my brother. As i stepped harder on the pedals, i saw my brother getting closer to the finish  line. At last, he made it. I was still trying hard to at least get second place. As i got closer to the finish line, I realized that i was about to crash into a tree instead. I was at the side of the lane instead of the middle. The side of the finish line is where the tree was. I didnt know that until i got closer to the finish line. I tried to stop the bike before i crashed. However, i was riding too fast and also scare at the same time that i couldnt control the bike properly. At last, i crashed in to the tree and hugged it. I didnt cry. Instead, i was scared that i would get in trouble for crashing into the tree. My brother and sister asked '' Are you okay??''. I said '' Yes''. I quicky then went to the mirror in my house quietly and checked if there were any injuries. I was also checking if there were blood. I wanted to erase evidence that proved that i crashed into the tree since i thought i would get in trouble. 
 
      In the end, my brother told my mother. My mother kept asking me '' Are you okay?'' a lot of times. She kept checking my face for any injuries. I felt relieved. Even until today, I still dont understand why i thought i would get in trouble for crashing into a stupid tree.

Am i a physical person or a sedentary person?

     I am a sedentary person although i prefer to be more physical.  I like to stay home and go on the computer to play games, mostly to watch animes or dramas. I can only open the computer on weekends unless i need to do homework with it on weekdays. Maybe thats why i prefer to stay home on weekends just so i could use the computer. Sometimes, i would be really bored on the computer so i would like to go out and be with my friends and have fun. However, everytime i have the thought of wanting to go out with my friends on the weekends, i usually still wouldnt go out.  Im too lazy which is really bad. I know its bad but im still lazy. I could never change the fact that im a lazy person. 

    
    There is one thing that makes me more physical which is  i like doing volunteer work especially volunteering with little kids. When im with the little kids, i feel really happy and relaxed and its really fun and im much more active. I also always go with my friends which makes it more fun and nice.  I actually would like to be a physical person .
